Saint-Sula Farm

Our family has been running the Saint-Sula farm for several generations

THE SAINT-SULA FARM LOCATED AT THE FOOT OF THE SOUTHERN SLOPE OF THE MENEZ HOM, THE HIGHEST POINT OF THE BLACK MOUNTAINS (330 METRES) IN THE HEART OF THE PARC REGIONAL D'ARMORIQUE.

Originally, the farm workers working on the farm were provided with a dwelling; they were housed near the farm in "pentys" (traditional stone houses) surrounded by a few acres of land to enable them to ensure their subsistence).

At the beginning of the 1970s our parents restored these old typical buildings, transforming them into lodgings for rural tourism. For more than thirty years they welcomed many families of holidaymakers looking for the sea air and the serenity of the countryside, happy to taste the simple joys of farm life.

When they passed away, we continued the seasonal rental activity of the "pentys" and converted the farm into an organic operation.

From now on, depending on the year, various crops follow one another in the fields surrounding the houses : buckwheat (ideal once ground for making pancakes and perfect for bees who love the nectar of these flowers), protein crops, legumes and various cereals. Recently we have been producing ancient wheat: once milled by a local miller, the flour is delivered to a nearby baker who makes artisanal organic breads.

Situated at the entrance of the Crozon peninsula, three kilometres from the beaches and the Iroise Marine Natural Park, in a quiet and preserved area, our houses are ideal for resting and observing the richness of the local fauna and flora: it is not unusual to come across deer at nightfall or to meet a fox at the bend in the road!  Birds, butterflies, bees, hedgehogs, lizards and other animals love the surroundings!

We have at heart to preserve the local environment and to keep a family farm going. It is always with pleasure that we welcome you to discover our beautiful region.
